Caring for Those Who Care for the Community

Those who serve to keep our communities safe are often exposed to some of the most difficult moments in people’s lives. Repeated exposure to these experiences can lead to Operational Stress Injuries (OSIs), which may include symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, emotional dysregulation, and relationship difficulties.

We are here to help. Our team is primarily made up of Certified First Responder Counsellors (CFRCs) who are trauma-informed and culturally competent. This means we understand the unique demands, values, and realities of service roles, and how ongoing exposure to trauma can affect those who serve. Our approach reflects this understanding at every stage of care.

Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy offers a confidential, supportive space to explore what’s been weighing on you and to reconnect with your sense of self. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. You might be struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or ongoing self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from who you are and what you want.

Therapy can also be a place to explore questions around gender and sexual identity, relationships, life transitions, or past experiences that continue to affect you today. Together, we work to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while developing practical tools that support growth, resilience, and self-compassion.

Our approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional relief, or meaningful change, individual therapy can help you feel more grounded, confident, and empowered in your life.

Marriage, Couples, Relationship Counselling

All relationships experience both strengths and challenges. Our relationship therapists help couples improve communication, navigate differences in healthier ways, and build or restore connection and intimacy. We listen carefully and work collaboratively with each couple to identify and move beyond the barriers standing in the way of the relationship they want to create.

For couples where one or both partners serve, our therapists understand the unique service-related challenges that can become stuck points within a relationship. We help both partners explore how service can influence the relationship, while also honoring the distinct experiences of the partner who is not in service. Our approach focuses on building understanding, balance, and confidence throughout the therapy process.

Adolescent, Teen & Young Adult Psychotherapy

Adolescence and young adulthood can be times of rapid change, uncertainty, and emotional intensity. Many teens and young adults seek therapy when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or others. Common concerns include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, academic or social pressure, family conflict, and difficulty managing emotions.

Therapy also provides a safe, affirming space to explore identity development, including questions related to gender and sexual identity, relationships, and belonging. For young people navigating transitions—such as increased independence, post-secondary education, or early career stress—therapy can help build confidence and clarity.

Our therapists work collaboratively with adolescents and young adults, meeting them where they are and respecting their autonomy. Using evidence-based approaches, we help clients develop coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and cultivate self-understanding and resilience—so they can move forward with greater confidence, balance, and self-trust.
